Coconut Grove Real Estate

Coconut Grove is an incomparable bayside community that comprises the southernmost section of the City of Miami. A bike/walking trail parallels what is the area’s oldest and first road (Ingraham Highway aka Main Highway), connecting Coconut Grove to Coral Gables to the south and Key Biscayne and downtown Miami to the north. Many of the region’s most esteemed private learning institutions line this historic artery, including Carrollton, Ransom-Everglades and the Vanguard School. Coconut Grove’s colorful past includes the significant role it played in early aviation. City Hall and the Dinner Key Marina now occupy the former Pan American World Airways’ seaplane base of operations. A Pan American Museum at Dinner Key vividly translates those heady, halcyon days for 21st century visitors. No other South Florida neighborhood offers the range of dining, entertainment, shopping, hotels, schools, historic sites, marinas and culture in a more compact, easily walkable tract.

Charming streets and cobbled sidewalks brim with bustling outdoor cafés, trendy boutiques and upscale bars energized by jazz, salsa and reggae. Notable destinations include Cocowalk and Mayfair, both of which are home to galleries, restaurants, retail and entertainment. Condominiums, townhomes, single-family residences and exclusive gated enclaves, such as Camp Biscayne and The Moorings, fan out from this eclectic town center. Most provide stunning bay, city or tropical views and lie within 10 easy minutes of Coral Gables, Dadeland or downtown.
