Coral Gables Real Estate

Coral Gables is one of the most highly regarded “boutique” municipalities in the country. Known as “The City Beautiful,” Coral Gables was conceived and laid out in the 1920s by founder George Merrick, who borrowed inspiration from Spain’s castles and the timeless architecture of the Mediterranean. Much of the land he transformed was part of his family’s grapefruit plantation. To create the idyllic Coral Gables that exists today, Merrick designed safe, secluded residential neighborhoods; delivered every amenity to taxpayers; developed a charming Miracle Mile retail quarter; erected landmark-caliber structures; enhanced the subtropical landscape; carved out broad avenues; established hospitals, schools and churches; and provided extraordinary venues for golf, swimming and tennis.

Property footprints are modest near the city center and expansive along the Alhambra, Granada, Riviera and Old Cutler Road corridors, the latter of which is studded with Miami’s most posh, gated waterfront communities, including Cocoplum, Gables Estates, Journey’s End and Old Cutler Bay. Exciting new choices come onto the market daily.
