Pinecrest Real Estate

The highly desirable Village of Pinecrest was incorporated in 1996, yet it had been an established neighborhood since the mid-1900s, distinguished by stately ranch homes on lots measured in acres not feet. Its public and private elementary, middle and high schools are county standouts, with Pinecrest Elementary and Gulliver Preparatory among the cream of the country’s crop. The exquisite Pinecrest Gardens (formerly the site of Parrot Jungle), a 14-acre botanic wonderland listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is the Village’s flagship open space. Pinecrest Gardens has emerged as the neighborhood center for garden society meetings, art shows, home shows, festivals, movie nights, concerts, live theater and dance. 

Widely recognized as one of the most beautiful, quiet and affluent residential neighborhoods in South Florida, Pinecrest’s infrastructure is equally notable, and its police and fire services are among the county’s most responsive. The council’s stated vision of sustaining “a vibrant Village that builds a sense of community spirit and pride with fiscally responsible government, the highest quality municipal services and infrastructure, a responsive and efficient staff, and innovative leaders who engage residents” is, by all accounts, not hyperbole.

The densely planted and canopied Village is a genuine green gem lying just east of US1 (aka Pinecrest Parkway or South Dixie Highway). Pinecrest residents enjoy all the conveniences of suburban life at its finest. Exceptional shopping is 5 minutes away from nearly every home, including Whole Foods, Publix, Dadeland, The Falls and more. Shopping plazas, bakeries, coffee shops, doctors and urgent care centers are also just around every proverbial corner. The nearby Palmetto Expressway terminates in the heart of Pinecrest, making for a direct 30-minute drive to the Miami International Airport; Miami Beach or Key Largo are each only 45 minutes to the north or south, respectively.
